Booking your alpha read

If you are making a booking in advance, please submit your manuscript 24 hours before I’m scheduled to review it. This is to ensure that I have received the file and that it opens without any issues.

If you are booking on the day, please submit your manuscript within the next 2 hours following the confirmation of your booking from the writing companion. This is to ensure that I have received your file and can open your file without any issues, and so that I can immediately start reviewing your manuscript to complete it within the turnaround time.
Submitting your manuscript

You are only permitted to submit one manuscript per one booking. If there’s more than one manuscript submitted, I will unfortunately disregard the subsequent one(s).

Your manuscript must be a completed draft. I do not accept partially completed manuscripts for the alpha read service.

Please ensure to submit your manuscript in a .docx or .pdf format. If your manuscript document is submitted in a pdf format, you are giving me permission to convert it to a .docx document so that I may review it.

I reserve the right to decline any manuscripts that may contain or that I perceive to contain any offensive, plagiarised, unreadable, or AI (artificial intelligence) written content.

For the alpha read service, you are eligible to submit a single A4 page, along with your manuscript, of questions that you’d like for me to answer in addition to my feedback at no extra cost.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your advanced booking (this means you booked an alpha read in advance, and not on the day), please cancel 48 hours before the scheduled date of your booking.

If you need to cancel your on-the-day booking (this means you booked an alpha read to begin on the day you booked), please cancel within 5 hours from when the booking was made.

For any cancellation, you can reschedule one time only, by contacting me for when you’d like for the alpha read to be rescheduled.
