writing companion

Why it's important to have a writing companion and not just an editor

If you're in search of friendly support, the writing company of it's novel is here to guide you with gentle light, ensuring that your manuscript is what you've envisioned

it's novel does more than pair you with an editor–you're partnered with another writer or author.

You are working with a companion who understands what it means to write until your eyes burn, and then continue because you're in a flow state. You are collaborating with someone who knows that time doesn't wait for you to ink your words, to squeeze a few words in through gaps out of your day. Your companion knows just how much work it takes to see the ideas in your head brought to life through a tale weaved.

You'll have a companion who holds their own work as close to their heart as you do.

kristen

Kristen is a writer who constantly looks over her shoulder in the event one of her characters have appeared to exact revenge for what she let them endure. When she's not putting her characters through the most, she's travelling through the pages of inked worlds with a steaming mug of coffee. Or perhaps, she's swooning over the high expectations fictional men have set for her.

the writing companion

Another step I've taken was to publish my work online where I had to submit an application to upload my work onto the platform. After sitting on the edge of my seat for time that seemed to stretch endlessly on, I received the approval to begin uploading my book. Then, before I know, I've completed an entire book.

But it's not always what others say. Yes, it's a rewarding experience that someone else recognises what you've written, but this also has to come from within yourself. You have to believe that your writing has the potential to soar. If you don't believe in yourself, it's hard to convince others to believe in you too.

Thank you for taking the time to read through my little speech. I swear this description wasn't supposed to be this lengthy, but here we are.

As a writer myself, I know the enchanting moment of initially inking the first sentence of your story to the final one. You fill up with so much pride for what you've accomplished and your heart beats like a flutter of butterfly wings as you gaze upon your work. And I would love for other writers to experience this too.

I've been writing for years but never had the courage to share my works. I can say that my first bold step to let someone else read my work was for a scholarship for a writer's retreat held by an American literary agent. Although, it was on a first-come-first-serve basis, that didn't stop me. I took the leap and was stunned I received the scholarship as the second writer. It didn't sink in then that my work was recognised. I was only 18! As I look back now, it was a real confidence booster that I have what it takes.

my preferences

Although I'm an avid reader who loves a good story, my preferences for genres lean more towards fantasy and contemporary fiction overall, with action the genre I read the least and horror not being read at all.

I've included three lists separating the genres I read the most to those I read the least, and the one I don't read at all. I hope that this offers some transparency and clarity for you to make a decision to have me as your writing companion. I do enjoy exploring different genres, aside from horror, so if you're curious about my opinion as a reader who often reads outside a genre you've written, you're welcome to consider entrusting me with your manuscript.
