The scope of this policy

This Terms and Service Agreement applies to all editing services offered through the it’s novel website, www.itsnovelinks.com and my profile through the Fiverr platform, www.fiverr.com/kchelse,  including but not limited to alpha reading, beta reading, chapter reviews, developmental editing, and character development. This Terms of Service Agreement applies to all digital products offered through the it’s novel website, www.itsnovelinks.com, including but not limited to, the email subscription freebie writing templates/trackers and writing templates/guides.

 

Use of Services

• You agree to not violate or unlawfully take it’s novel’s or another person’s intellectual property.

• You agree to not send viruses or any other malicious programs when submitting your manuscript for a service rendered, through either my website or Fiverr profile, nor when submitting queries and complaints, or when sending emails and text messages.

• You agree to not attempt, in any way, to interfere with or disrupt the service of any client using a service and personal of it’s novel.

• You agree to not misuse, resell, reverse-engineer, or distribute an of the digital products given away for free or sold without the explicit written consent from me.  

• You agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, third-party agreements and the information outlined in this policy when using any of my services and/or digital products.

 

Ownership of Services and Content

• All intellectual property rights (including, but not limited to, copyrights, trademarks, patents, and trade secrets) in any of the services provided, any of the digital products freely given away and sold, and any deliverables (such as feedback reports, designs, promotional content, content, software, code, or other work) shall remain the sole and exclusive property of it’s novel unless explicitly agreed otherwise in a separate written contract from me.

• Upon full payment for services rendered and the digital products purchased, I may grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the deliverables for their intended purpose, subject to any terms or restrictions outlined in this Terms of Service Agreement. This license is only valid for the duration specified in the agreement and is revocable upon breach of terms.

 

Restrictions on Use

• You may not copy, distribute, modify, reverse-engineer, or resell any portion of the deliverables, services and digital products, in any way or format, provided by it’s novel without my prior written consent.

• If the deliverables and digital products include any third-party content (such as images, software, or other materials), you are granted only the rights provided by the third-party licenses. You are responsible for ensuring that any third-party content is used in accordance with the respective licenses.

 

Clients and age restriction 

• All of my editing services are not directed to children under the age of 13 years. 

• If I uncover that a client has misinterpreted their age and is under the age of 13, I will promptly inform them, delete their information and cancel any associated services and digital products usage. 

• For clients under the age of 18 years must obtain the consent of at least one parent or legal guardian over the age of 18 years before purchasing and using any of my services and/or digital products. 

• I may further request confirmation of the consent of the parent or legal guardian if it’s suspected that a client is under the age of 18.

 

Account registration

• My services requires you to create an account through my website. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

• My services requires you to create an account through the third party, Fiverr. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify it’s novel immediately of any unauthorised use of your account or any other breach of security, especially those that place it’s novel at risk.

 

Payment and subscriptions

• ​If you purchase any of my services through my website, you are required to make full payment before the service begins. If no payment is received from you, then you run the risk of having your order delayed or cancelled.

• If you purchase any of my services through my profile on Fiverr, you are required to follow their payment policy, and will not hold it’s novel responsible or liable should you face any complications with Fiverr. 

• If you purchase any of my digital products through my website, you are required to make full payment in order to receive the product and before you have access to use it. 

• For any paid subscriptions offered by it’s novel, either through the website or a third party, you’ll be responsible and liable for providing correct and accurate payment and personal information upon purchasing and maintaining the subscription.

 

Digital products

• All products, freely given and purchased, are licensed for personal use only. 

• The digital products do not substitute professional editorial or publishing advice, but only have the sole purpose of allowing the personal development of your fictional stories.  

• None of the products are for commercial usage, unless you have explicit written permission from me.

 

Pricing 

• The initial, expected pricing of the respective services are outlined under each service on my website and under each service gig on Fiverr. You are responsible to ensure that you carefully take the pricing into account before purchasing.

• The pricing outlined work in accordance with the word count of each respective service, and are thus fixed in this regard for the pricings shown. 

• The initial, expected pricing of the respective digital products are outlined under each of the products on my website. These prices are fixed unless otherwise stated by me. You are responsible to ensure that you carefully take the pricing into account before purchasing.

 

Service turnaround times 

• The initial, expected turnaround times of the respective services are outlined under each service on my website and under each service gig on Fiverr. You are responsible to ensure that you carefully take the turnaround time into account before purchasing.

• The turnaround times outlined work in accordance with the word count of each respective service, and are thus fixed in this regard for the turnaround times shown. 

 

Service word count

• The initial, expected word count of the respective services are outline under each service on my website and under each service gig on Fiverr. You are responsible to ensure that you carefully take the word count into account before purchasing.

• The word count outlined work in accordance with the pricing of each respective service, and are thus fixed in this regard for the word counts shown. 

 

Custom quotes 

• If you want to purchase any service through my website, but the service requirements do not align with what you require, it’s novel offers custom quotes to tailor my service to fit what you require. You are required to complete the custom quote form to be eligible for one of my services tailored to what you require. 

• If you want to purchase any service through my Fiverr profile, but the service requirements do not align with what you require, I offer the offer custom quotes to tailor my service to fit what you require. To be eligible, kindly send me a message via the Fiverr chat outlining your requests and for which service. 

 

Client bookings and manuscript submissions

• You are only permitted to submit one manuscript per one booking. If there’s more than one manuscript submitted, I will unfortunately disregard the subsequent one(s). 

• For the services of alpha read, beta read, developmental edit, and copy edit services, your manuscript must be a completed draft. I do not accept partially completed manuscripts for these services.

• For the service of chapter reviews, your manuscript must be an incomplete draft, I do not accept completed manuscripts for this service.

• Please ensure to submit your manuscript in a .docx or .pdf format. If your manuscript document is submitted in a pdf format, you are giving me permission to convert it to a .docx document so that I may review and edit it. 

• I reserve the right to decline any manuscripts that may contain or that I perceive to contain any offensive, plagiarised, unreadable, or AI (artificial intelligence) written content. 

 

Client additional submissions

• For the alpha read, beta read, developmental edit, and copy edit services, you are eligible to submit a single A4 page, along with your manuscript, of questions that you’d like for me to answer in addition to my feedback.

 

Manuscript revisions

• Any manuscript revisions for any changes implemented from any of my services purchased from Fiverr are subject to paid revisions and can be purchased any time after the completion of a service.

• Any manuscript revisions for any changes implemented from any of my services purchased from my website are eligible for up to three revisions within 7 days after the completion of a service. One manuscript revision is determined when you submit your revised manuscript with my suggestions or comments, I review it and possibly include further suggestions or comments, and then return your manuscript back to you.

 

Responsibilities as a client

• You are responsible to ensure that there are copies or backups of your original manuscripts, and will not holdit’s novel responsible for the loss or damage of any of your original work that you’ve provided me with.

• By purchasing any service of it’s novel, you agree and confirm that you are the owner and/or creator of the original work you’ve submitted for reviewing and/or editing. 

• By purchasing and/or using the digital products from it’s novel, you have the responsibility to respect the terms of use and any licensing agreements associated with the respective products. 

• If you purchase and/or use any digital products from it’s novel, you are expected to provide the appropriate credit to the creator and owner when and where applicable and required, safeguard any confidential information provided, and promptly report any technical issues or concerns to me.

• You are responsible for ensuring that the materials you provide do not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights or violate any laws. You agree to indemnify and hold me harmless against any claims or damages arising from the use of your materials. 

• You are responsible for ensuring any of your personal information are accurate and up to date when creating an account on my website or the Fiverr platform, and you’re your payment details are accurate and up to date when purchasing any service from it’s novel. 

 

Intellectual property

• You retain ownership of all content, materials, or intellectual property you provide to me for the purpose of delivering the agreed-upon services. I do not have any claim or ownership of your original work. By submitting such materials, you agree and grant me the necessary licenses to use, modify, and incorporate these materials as needed to fulfil my agreed-upon obligations.

• Any edits, comments, and suggestions provided by it’s novel during the editing process of the respective services are considered part of that service and are licensed to you for use in your manuscript. You retain full copyrightover your final manuscript, including any incorporated edits provided by it’s novel.

 

Limitation of liability

• I am not responsible or liable for any damages resulting the purchase and use of any edited content of your original work and the use of any of the digital products given away freely or that you have purchased.

• You agree that you are aware that no publication, sales, or other specific outcomes are guaranteed from the purchase and use of my services or digital products, and you agree not to hold it’s novel responsible for any unfavourable or disappointing outcomes regarding this.

Modifications to this Terms of Service Agreement

• I may update or revise this Terms of Service Agreement from time to time. Any changes will be posted on my website or otherwise communicated to you. 

• You will have to take responsibility to review this Terms of Service Agreement periodically for updates.

• By continuing to use my services after any modifications, you agree to be bound by the updated policy.

 

Termination

• I reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to any services, deliverables and digital products at any time, without prior notice, if you violate the terms of this policy. 

• Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you under this Terms of Service Agreement will cease with immediate effect. You must cease all use of the deliverables and return or destroy any copies of the deliverables and/ or digital products in your possession immediately.
